Tuesday, August 27, 2024
The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers for the community.
SASSA are going to be rendering companies including new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In an announcement, the agency mentioned it is alarmed concerning the high amount of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The purpose in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the substantial number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This really is mainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no absolutely functional office focused on more info service the area regularly. The support issue developed for intervention ordeals a higher influx of opportunity beneficiaries, which makes it hard with the office to attend to all people who check out a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise extra sources to permit the servicing of all prospects and improve use of Social Assistance products and services,” the agency sassa said.
